The See-Aufklrungsmittel und Ortungssystem (maritime reconnaissance and detection system, or SEAMOS) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was designed in response to a German navy requirement for a maritime reconnaissance UAV similar to the GEAMOS UAV designed for the German army and air force. The GEAMOS UAV was abandoned in 1990 due to organizational restructuring and not the performance of the GEAMOS.
