The QF-4N and QF-4S full-scale aerial targets (FSAT) were supersonic, recoverable, high-altitude, remote-controlled aerial target versions of the Navy F-4 Phantom fighter. The FSAT provided high-performance, threat-representative, fighter-size aerial targets for weapon system testing and evaluation.
The aircraft was capable of speeds up to Mach 2.2 and altitudes up to 57,000 ft (17,370 m). The QF-4N and QF-4S had full command control capability through normal flight maneuvers...
