Nibbio

The Nibbio (Italian for "kite," the name of the bird) was a deep-penetration high-subsonic reconnaissance uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) developed for surveillance and operations in risky environments.

The configuration of the UAV was characterized by a circular cross-section fuselage, a high wing with supercritical airfoil, two single surface elevators, two ventral fins, a canard rudder and a conformal pod with the shock absorption system.
