The MQM-8G (ER) and MQM-8G (EER) Vandal targets were two of a family developed from the obsolete RIM-8G/J Talos fleet missile. The MQM-8Gs were the last versions of the air vehicle to be used. They were remote-controlled, non-recoverable vehicles, which were launched from a land-based modified Talos launcher by a solid-propellant booster and propelled through flight by a ramjet engine.
