The MQ-8B was an enhanced version of the developmental RQ-8A Fire Scout (see "Variants," below). Based on the Schweitzer 333 helicopter, it featured a four-blade main rotor for improved payload performance, allowing for the addition of a synthetic aperture radar and an infrared/electro-optical sensor.
