The GQM-163 Coyote supersonic sea-skimming target (SSST) is used to simulate anti-ship cruise missiles (ASCM) in the low and very-low supersonic performance regime. The Coyote was designed to meet a U.S. Navy requirement for an affordable SSST to simulate high-speed ASCMs for fleet training and weapon systems research and testing.
