The Bat is a family of uncrewed aircraft systems designed by Northrop Grumman using KillerBee technology (see "Variants," below). The KillerBee was originally developed by Swift Engineering. Northrop Grumman acquired the design and renamed it in 2009. The product line, including the R-Bat helicopter, share common interfaces, avionics, payloads and ground-control stations.
