The Altus II high-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was a derivative of the Predator A. It was used by NASA and the U.S. Dept. of Energy for atmospheric research missions.
Similar in appearance to the Predator, the Altus II had a slightly longer wingspan. It was distinguished by its long, narrow, high aspect-ratio wing; its slender fuselage, rear-mounted engine and propeller; and an inverted-V horizontal tail.
