The Delilah was originally developed as an airborne expendable decoy. Its principal missions were deception and intelligence-gathering. It has since been developed into an air-launched standoff missile.
The decoy has a cylindrical fuselage, fixed short-span tapered wings and cruciform tailfins. It can be carried on MAU-12 underwing pylons and launched from any number of aircraft including A-4 Skyhawks, F-4 Phantoms, F-16 Fighting Falcons and F/A-18 Hornets.
