The Egrett is a high-altitude signals intelligence (SIGINT) aircraft based on Germany's Grob motorized sailplane design. It was developed by Raytheon E-Systems, Grob and Garrett Turbine; EGRETT is a contraction of the three manufacturer names. Their goal was to produce a low-signature, low-cost reconnaissance platform that could operate at stand-off distances either as a manned or unmanned aircraft.
