The V-280 Valor tiltrotor is being developed by Bell Helicopter for the U.S. military's Joint Multi-Role/Future Vertical Lift (JMR/FVL) helicopter program. More than 4,000 aircraft could be built to the winning design. The project will replace the Army's medium helicopter fleet, including UH-60 Black Hawk utility and AH-64 Apache attack helicopters after 2030. The FVL aircraft could also replace Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy helicopters as well, according to the Pentagon.
