The AH-1Z Viper is the latest version of the venerable AH-1 Cobra design. Under the H-1 program, which includes the latest UH-1Y Venom, The Marine Corps fleet of 180 AH-1W Super Cobra and 100 UH-1N utility helicopters were originally to be remanufactured to an advanced four-bladed configuration, which will operate beyond 2020.
