The AC332 light twin helicopter -- dubbed "Auspicious Bird" in Mandarin -- is being developed by Aviation Industry Corp. of China (AVIC) for civil and parapublic missions. Described by some as a cross between the Bell 429 and Airbus H145, the AC332 features a four-blade main rotor, ducted tail rotor, maximum takeoff weight of around 8,820 lb (4,000 kg) and seating for up to 10 passengers and two crew. An integrated avionics system is provided.
