The Y-12 is a Chinese, turboprop-powered light transport with short takeoff and landing (STOL) capability that was developed from the smaller, piston-powered Y-11. The Y-12 offers twice the payload capability of the Y-11 and is faster.

In its current form, the Y-12-II resembles the identically powered DHC-6 Twin Otter, which has less cargo volume but can lift a greater payload. The Y-12 is used in both military and civil aviation.
