The Tu-134 Crusty is a short-range transport, designed primarily for civilian use, but adapted by some countries for military transport. The Russian air force operates training and reconnaissance variants.

The Tu-134 is a hybrid airliner design that combines the traditional Tupolev "narrow-body" fuselage seen in the Tu-104 Camel and Tu-124 Cookpot (and Tu-16 Badger bomber) with a rear-engine layout and "T-tail" that came into Western vogue in the early 1960s.
