The Fregate is a French medium cargo/transport aircraft that has also been adapted for use in training, target tow, observation and electronic calibration.

The Fregate's high wing is mounted at mid-fuselage. It has a relatively high aspect ratio, slight double taper, dihedral from the roots and, in the Fregate C/D, raked wingtips.
