C-135 Stratolifter

The C-135 family of aircraft features numerous variants that have been adapted to a variety of missions. The series has primarily been used for in-flight refueling operations as KC-135s, but has also been adapted for use as a cargo aircraft and in a variety of research and special-purpose electroni cs configurations. These aircraft were related to the Boeing 707 commercial airliner series, which evolved from the same design program.
