The AV-8B Harrier is an advanced vertical/short takeoff and landing (VSTOL) fighter aircraft co-produced by McDonnell Douglas Aircraft and British Aerospace. It is known by the U.S. Marine Corps as the AV-8B, by the Royal Air Force as the GR Mk 5, Mk 7 or Mk 9, and by the Spanish navy as the EAV-8B.
