The Harrier series is an advanced fixed-wing vertical/short takeoff-and-landing (VSTOL) combat aircraft. The FA2 Sea Harrier is a navalized version in service with the Indian navy (see separate database entries for the U.S. Marine Corps AV-8A/C Harrier and AV-8B Harrier II). It differs from the basic Harrier in having a Pegasus engine with anti-corrosion features, replacement of most magnesium parts with non-corroding metal and a revised avionics and armaments fit.
