Turkish-backed rebel groups in Syria have joined with the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) militant group to fight government forces in the northwestern Idlib province, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).
On Tuesday, HTS recaptured the town of Kfar Nabuda from regime forces with assistance from the National Liberation Front (NLF), an umbrella group of Turkish-backed rebels.
More than 80 combatants were killed in the battle, according to the U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
