On Oct. 12, 2026, Raytheon said it had carried out three developmental tests of its Coyote Block 2C+RM interceptor upgrades, just 15 months after the program began as a concept.
The Block 2C+RM adds a rocket motor for faster launch and a new seeker and warhead to improve targeting. During testing, the upgraded interceptor was successfully integrated with existing counter-drone systems, and the first rocket-powered Coyote launches demonstrated its potential for quicker engagements.
