Lockheed Martin Expands Undersea Warfare Capabilities Through Ultra Maritime Acquisition

On Oct. 26, 2026, Lockheed Martin finalized its purchase of Ultra Maritime, an international defense firm specializing in undersea and anti-submarine warfare. Company leadership described the deal as a way to combine both organizations’ people and technology to meet rising global demand from allied navies.

Ultra Maritime will now operate within Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems division. The brand builds systems that help naval forces detect, track, and defend against underwater threats, including sonar, sonobuoys, torpedo defense, and radar.
