Lockheed Martin Delivers First Two Permanently Based F-35s to Finland

On Oct. 1, 2026, Lockheed Martin announced the arrival of Finland's first two permanently based F-35A aircraft. While eight others remain in Arkansas for pilot and maintenance training, Finland has now received 10 of its planned 64 F-35As.

The F-35A is a fifth-generation fighter featuring advanced sensors, stealth technology, and real-time data sharing. These capabilities allow pilots to conduct precision strikes and operate in high-threat environments with minimal detection risk.
