Lockheed Martin Delivers First ICS-Enabled Combat System Baseline to the U.S. Navy

Lockheed Martin announced on May 28, 2026, that it had delivered the first Integrated Combat System (ICS)-enabled baseline to the U.S. Navy. The delivered BL9.C3.0 baseline combines proven Aegis combat system functionality with a modernized software infrastructure.

Built using the Forge development environment, the update introduces Tactical Platform as a Service, which provides the foundation for containerized software applications. The architecture is designed to support the rapid integration of new sensors and operational capabilities through regular updates.
