The U.S. Air Force has awarded Lockheed Martin a contract to produce fighter jets for Bulgaria, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The US$512 million Foreign Military Sales contract announced on Thursday covers eight F-16 Block 70 aircraft.
The deal includes six single-seat and two dual-seat jets, reported Flight Global.
The F-16s are being procured to replace Bulgaria's aging MiG-29 fighters.
