The governor of Nigeria's northeastern Borno state has been ambushed while traveling in the northern part of the state, reports This Day (Lagos).
On Wednesday, Gov. Babagana Zulum was traveling near the town of Baga on an undisclosed trip to dispense aid to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the region when his convoy was ambushed by suspected Boko Haram militants, reported the Daily Trust (Abuja).
