At least 15 people have been killed after an Iranian military cargo plane crashed while landing 25 miles (40 km) west of the capital, Tehran, reports the semi-official Fars news agency.
The Boeing 707 touched down at the airport but skidded off the runway, colliding with a barrier wall and catching fire, said the army.
Only the flight engineer is believed to have survived. He was taken to the hospital.
