Armored Vehicles From Qatar To Bolster Fight Against Al-Shabaab

The Somali government has taken delivery of donated armored vehicles from Qatar, reports Radio Dalsan (Mogadishu).

On Thursday, 68 Storm 4 x 4 armored personnel carriers were formally handed over to Somali defense officials in Mogadishu, said the Qatari Defense Ministry.

The vehicles will be used in the fight against Al-Shabaab and other militant groups, particularly in areas where there is a high risk of improvised explosive devices.
