Air Force Receives 1st Texan II Trainer

Textron Aviation Defense has delivered the first of eight military trainers to the Tunisian air force, reports the aviation firm.
The Beechcraft T-6C Texan II aircraft will support operations at the No. 13 Squadron at Sfax air base in Tunisia, Textron said in a Tuesday release.
The second aircraft is slated to arrive in late 2022 with the remaining six to follow in 2023.
As part of the Foreign Military Sale, Textron will provide in-country field service and logistics support representatives; program management support; interim contractor support for the first year; training for pilots and maintenance professionals; spare engines; spare parts; and aircraft support equipment.
A ground-based training system, operational flight trainer and computer-based training lab are also slated to be installed at the Sfax air base, the company said.
Tunisa is the 13th country to acquire the T-6 trainer, according to Textron.
