The U.S. Air Force is looking to purchase 80 F-15EX fighters over the next five years to replace its aging fleet of F-15Cs, reports Air Force magazine.
The service requested US$1.05 billion in fiscal 2020 for the first eight aircraft and plans to spend US$1.65 billion for 18 aircraft annually between 2021 and 2024, according to budget documents released on Monday.
