8 Militants Killed In Retaliatory Raids

At least eight Sinai Province militants who allegedly participated in an attack on an Egyptian military checkpoint last week have been killed in a security operation, reports the Mada Masr (Egypt) online newspaper.
The Egyptian armed forces announced on Wednesday that the airstrikes and raids were in response to the Feb. 17 attack on a military checkpoint in Arish that killed 15 soldiers. The militants seized weapons before fleeing the scene.
