$500 Million Helicopter Maintenance Deal Sought From U.S.

The U.S. State Dept. has approved a potential Foreign Military Sale of maintenance support for Saudi Arabia’s helicopter fleets, reports the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency.

The proposed US$500 million deal covers the continuation of a maintenance support service contract for Saudi land forces AH-64D/E attack helicopters; UH-60L, UH-60M, Schweizer 333 and Bell 406CS utility helicopters; and its future fleet of CH-47F Chinook heavy-lift helicopters.
