Future Fighter Replacement. Denmark's headline military procurement project involves the replacement of the Royal Danish Air Force's fleet of F-16s with the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Delivery of the JSF began in April 2021. The F-16 fleet will gradually be phased out of service and was originally scheduled to be completely withdrawn by 2024.
