The Bosnian Army received 15 Bell UH-1H Iroquois utility helicopters in late 1996 under a U.S.-sponsored train and equip program. In early 1997, these UH-1Hs were shipped to Germany for the training of Bosnian pilots before being formally passed on to the Bosnian military.
