Overview

The buildup of the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), which include all three military service branches (Army, Air Force, and Navy), the Ministry of Interior forces (Oil Police, Border Guards, National Police, etc.), and counterterrorism forces, began in earnest in 2006.
