OVERVIEW
The Korean People's Army (KPA) stood up the Army Strategic Rocket Force as a separate service. Sometime around 2012, North Korea renamed the service the Strategic Force. The service has the final responsibility for North Korea's nuclear-armed ballistic missile force.
