The YUGO-class midget submarine is a North Korean boat primarily used for the insertion of special operations personnel and undercover agents into South Korea. It is likely operated by the Reconnaissance Bureau of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, rather than the navy. An improved variant, dubbed the YONO class, has also been developed. The YUGO class was still in production as of 2020....
