Thirty of these craft were built for Cameroon under the U.S. Military Assistance Program (MAP). Twenty were assigned to the navy and 10 to the Gendarmerie. The first 10 naval units arrived in March of 1987, the second 10 in September of 1987. The Gendarmerie units arrived in March 1988.
