description

Transferred to Vietnam in February 1980, these launches are the sole survivors of 18 units that were transferred between 1977 and 1987. These craft were originally built for minesweeping of harbors and river estuaries. They were later rerated as patrol craft. They now serve as harbor launches; tech nically, they are classed as service craft. They can also be used as tugs and, with the appropriate equipment, as diving tenders (YDT).
