 OVERVIEW  The Salvadoran armed forces operate several classes of
 small patrol craft, all US-made.  A large order for several
 monohull and catamaran patrol craft types was placed in 1987 from
 Mercougar and Monark.

 DESCRIPTION  This small patrol craft has an aluminum hull,
 enclosed pilothouse, and flying bridge.  The 12-7-mm machine guns
 are mounted on pedestals forward and aft of the deckhouse.
