description

The entire class of 27 units was completed between 1981 and 1988. It was jointly funded by the navy and Ministry of Commerce. Seven sister ships of this class, classified as personnel launches (YFL), have been used on the Rio Mino between Spain and Portugal as patrol boats. At least 20 other units have been disposed of variously.
