The AGENOR is a Greek special operations craft (SOC) in service with the Hellenic Navy. It was the first domestically designed and built SOC in the country's history. The boat is designed for special forces insertion and extraction, patrol, search and rescue and interdiction missions.
HULL: AGENOR incorporates Phi-Mechaniseas' HIVEX hull form, with a 26 degree, deep V-shape design made of aluminum. The boat has a two-deck interior with 14 Allsalt Maritime SHOX shock-absorbing seats.
At full load, the boat displaces 25 tons. It measures 58 ft 10 in (17.9) in overall length, 14 ft 9 in (4.5 m) in overall beam with a draft of 3 ft 1 in (1.0 m).
A stern ramp can be used to recover and launch the boat's two Zodiac Milpro Futura Commando 470 15-ft (4.7-m) rubber inflatable boats.
A crew of three can operate the boat, with space for 11 commandos with full equipment.
ENGINEERING: Two MAN V8-1200 engines produce 2,433 total bhp. The ship has two QSD 236 surface drive systems with surface piercing propellers and drive shafts. Power is transferred to the propellers through two ZF 2000 A gearboxes. The ship can carry 710 gallons (2,700 liters) of fuel.
Designed for high-speed operations, the AGENOR can reach a top speed of 52.5 knots and a cruise speed of 38 knots. The maximum range of the boat is 350 nm (650 km).
ARMAMENT: General Robotics' Shark remote weapons station is installed on AGENOR, with two integrated 12.7-mm M2 machine guns. An optional 30-mm lightweight cannon is provided for.
SENSORS/ELECTRONICS: A SIMRAD radar is fitted for navigation and surveillance. Miltech Hellas supplies the MLT-SUR-100RTM-2 2-axis gyrostabilized electro-optical sensor. AGENOR is fitted with two marine cameras and a full CCTV system. The Scytalys M2IMS tactical mission system is optionally installable.

Assigned to the Hellenic Navy’s Underwater Demolition Command (UDC).
AGENOR was designed and engineered by Greek naval engineering firm Phi-Mechaniseas as a special operations craft (SOC) for use in the Hellenic Navy. It was the first such design for the company. The vessel was built by Hellenic Shipyards, S.A. in Skaramagas. The boat was built using aluminum donated by Greek company ElvaHalcor. It was the first domestically designed and built SOC in the Greek navy.
The boat was launched on July 30, 2021, after which it began sea trials. AGENOR entered service in May 2022.
On Dec. 16, 2022, Naval News reported that AGENOR had received its armament, selecting General Robotics’ dual-axis electro-mechanically stabilized Shark remote weapons station (RWS). The station would be armed with two 12.7-mm M2 heavy barrel (HB) machine guns. It was the first and only ship in the Hellenic Navy to carry an RWS.
Naval News reported on June 15, 2023 that Phi-Mechaniseas partnered with the DIAPLOUS Group to market new AGENOR variants to the Hellenic Navy. Proposed variants include a combat transport craft and interceptor. The Hellenic Navy is reportedly considering the designs for future special forces craft.
