The KAREL DOORMAN joint support ship is the largest ship in the Dutch navy. It replaced the fleet replenishment oiler ZUIDERKRUIS. The KAREL DOORMAN is also capable of strategic sealift missions and serving as a sea base during crisis-response operations as well as humanitarian assistance and amphibious operations.
