This former U.S. Coast Guard high-endurance cutter (WHEC) was transferred to the Philippines on May 13, 2011, at Coast Guard Island in Alameda, Calif. After her refitting, the renamed GREGORIO DEL PILAR was expected to become the flagship of the Philippine navy.
