The Iranian BAYANDOR-class corvettes were built for Iran in the mid-1960s under the U.S. Mutual Assistance Program (MAP). The PF-103 design was developed by the U.S. Navy specifically for foreign transfer. NAGHDI was refitted and re-engined in 1988.
