The OCHAMCHIRE class is a pair of ex-U.S ISLAND class patrol boats in service with the Georgian coast guard.

HULL: Like the ISLAND class, these ships are designed from the Vesper Thorncroft 110-ft patrol boat build. It has increased top-hamper with a flush-deck, round-bilge hull with some bow sheer, a low bow coaming, active fin stabilizers and a transom stern. The deckhouse levels are stepped in a wedding-cake profile; the pilothouse has an open bridge abaft it. A tall, quadrapod mast is positioned abaft the bridge.
At full load these ships displace 150 tons. The class has a length of 109 ft 11 in (33.5 m), a beam of 21 ft 0 in (6.4 m) and a maximum draft of 7 ft 3 in (2.2 m).
The full crew complement is 16, consisting of two officers and 14 enlisted personnel.

ENGINEERING: Two Caterpillar 3516 Diesel engines produced 5,673 bhp, driving two shafts. The ships have a top speed of 29 knots. At 10 knots, the ships can reach a maximum range of 3,928 nm (7,275 km).

ARMAMENT: A 25-mm Mk 38 machine gun system incorporating an M242 Bushmaster chain gun is the ships' primary armament. Two 12.7-mm machine guns provide added protection to the class.

SENSORS/ELECTRONICS: These ships are outfitted with an AN/SPS-73 navigation radar operating in the I-band. An SCCS-Lite sonar is equipped.

In service.

The U.S. Coast Guard decommissioned the ISLAND-class patrol boats JEFFERSON ISLAND and STATEN ISLAND in October 2014. The ships were transferred to the Georgian coast guard through the Excess Defense Articles (EDA) program on Sept. 30, 2016 at a ceremony in Baltimore, Md.

The vessels were refitted at Baltimore and delivered to Georgia on Oct. 18, 2018 at a ceremony in the Black Sea port of Poti.
