description

Approximately 25-30 of these craft were built in Taiwan to the U.S. design; the remainder were transferred to Taiwan between September 1955 and October 1959 after service with the U.S. Navy. The new construction ships are known as the Type 272 design in Taiwan's navy. There is no information availa ble on which of the LCVPs are Taiwan- or U.S.-built.
