0 AINA VAO VAO-class UTILITY LANDING CRAFT (LCU) (French EDIC class) Name Commissioned Status AINA VAO VAO July 15, 1965 Stricken (ex-French L-9082)
This utility landing craft was transferred from France to Madagascar on Sept. 27, 1985, having been laid up at Tahiti since being stricken from the French navy in 1981. She was given a minor refit by French navy personnel in March 1996.
The AINA VAO VAO was removed from service in 2009.
