The KUZNETSOV is the largest warship ever built in Russia. She is exceeded in size only by the U.S. Navy's super-carriers. The class was the lineal successor of the Modified KIEV/KIEV-class carriers in series production and was the first Soviet class capable of operating conventional-takeoff-and-landing (CTOL) aircraft.
