The Steel Work (Russian: Duga) was an over-the-horizon (OTH) anti-ballistic missile radar. It was also known as the Steel Yard. Steel Work was intended to provide up to 30 minutes warning of a U.S. intercontinental ballistic missile strike and a shorter warning time against a Chinese attack. Peak power was at least 20-40 MW and possibly more.
